InnVision
Adopt-A-Family
Adopt-A-Family is a program that lets you
help a family celebrate the Holidays. InnVision will match your family or
organization with a family that was formerly homeless, and is now making the
difficult transition to self-sufficiency, or with a family at risk of
homelessness, enrolled in a training program to improve their skills. "Extras"
like presents and decorations, are often beyond their means at first. By
providing gifts, holiday decorations, and help with groceries, you can help a
family celebrate the holidays in their new home.
GUIDELINES:
|
Please try to provide at least two gifts per family member |
|
Gifts for different children in the same family should be equivalent in
value and size. |
|
Please include a gift certificate for groceries at a major supermarket. |
|
Make sure all gifts are LABELED with
recipients name, family number, and YOUR name in a way that is visible and securely
attached to the package. |
|
Try to use a consistent theme in wrapping (all have big red bows, for
example) so that they can be easily grouped. |
|
Please do not give plants or
pets (small Christmas trees are OK). |
|
Gifts must be dropped off at InnVisions Georgia Travis Center on December
16, 17 and 18, or by special arrangement. For some
families, the drop off date will be the 16th
or the 17th. |
