CEO Message

Dear Friends,

I want to let you all know that the holiday season is a glorious time for the thousands of clients we serve, in large part due to your generosity and good will.

So many individuals, as well as multiple groups from corporations, small businesses, faith communities, schools and civic groups respond to our call for action, which typically results in a very successful gift distribution to all our children and adults. The need this year is greater than ever. Children and teens are the fastest growing homeless population in Silicon Valley.

We always get a little nervous when the cupboards are not full, and time is drawing near for the celebrations and distribution. We hope your gift of toys, clothing, food, and gift cards will make the holiday season a special time for those in need.

I also want to let you know that there have been some changes! The Georgia Travis Family Center serves thousands of women, children, and families each year. Together with our partners, Destination...Home, we are expanding this center to become a one-stop service center providing child care, food service, job training and case management services. You will hear more about this exciting development over the next few months, but feel free to call me directly if you are interested in participating (408-213-5170).

Thank you again for all your efforts that in previous seasons provided hope and encouragement to people that so desperately need it…we hope we can count on your continued support.

Warm regards,
Christine Burroughs/CEO
