Google Employees Transform InnVision Homeless Centers
Thanks to over 500 Google employees, InnVision Georgia Travis Center (GTC) and Commercial Street Inn (CSI) were transformed this June. In just one day, the Googlers provided much needed cosmetic upgrades and repairs to both centers.

As part of Google’s “All for Good” program, the employees got the day off to give something back. They painted indoor and outdoor walls, including a cheerful mural in the GTC breezeway. They sorted clothing at Donation Depot. They bagged produce for client distribution. Not only were the employees given the day off to perform this service, Google also donated the cost for ALL materials.
Seth Marbin, Social Responsibility Business Partner at Google, said “Volunteer projects like these help connect employees to the communities where they live and work. And working together like this builds strong connections between employees. Google takes corporate social responsibility seriously.”

Jaynie Neveras, InnVision Community Relations and Events Manager, was in awe. “The sight of 500 enthusiastic Google volunteers swooping in to make a difference was just amazing! From transforming a drab breezeway (where hundreds of at-risk families and individuals queue up for free food and clothing) into a work of art by painting in a beautiful mural- hand drawn by artist Michael Cincotta-, to the painting of expansive building exteriors and brightening interiors, to even helping with much needed filing projects...they did it all with humor and compassion. A tremendous thank you to Hands On Bay Area (HOBA) , who were instrumental in spearheading the projects. It was especially meaningful to meet Seth Marbin, founder of Google Gives Back, who has watched his efforts grow to 7,000 employees volunteering worldwide! Here at InnVision, we couldn't possibly do what we do without the support of phenomenal partners like Google, and we are ever grateful.”
Tessa Hedstrom, Corporate Programs Manager for HOBA praised Google employees. “They bring good energy to the projects. Not just large numbers. They have enthusiasm. And now they know a lot more about homelessness in Silicon Valley and the services that InnVision provides.”
