Thank you to all of our wonderful supporters
The new year has already begun, but thousands of our homeless and at-risk neighbors will look back on the end of 2011 with a smile.
At the Holiday Toy and Teen Shoppe held at the InnVision Georgia Travis Center, parents were able to shop for gifts for their children. Each could choose a stuffed animal, a stocking stuffer, a book, and two toys or teen gifts per child. Additionally, parents also chose a board game for the entire family to enjoy. The Shoppe served nearly 2,000 homeless and at-risk children during the holiday season.
Maria, a client who came to shop for her three young children, was excited to take part in the 2011 Holiday Toy and Teen Shoppe. "These gifts are wonderful and they will put BIG smiles on my children's faces! I am very grateful." she told an InnVision case manager. Similar sentiments were echoed by many shoppers who came to select gifts for their children they might not have otherwise been able to obtain. Volunteer "elves" helped clients throughout the Shoppe, carrying their selections and escorting them to have their gifts wrapped by waiting volunteers.
The Holiday Toy and Teen Shoppe, as well as our many other holiday events, would not have been possible without the thousands of volunteer hours donated by both individual and group volunteers. Additionally, thousands of brand new toys, books and teen gifts were donated by incredibly generous community members. In 2011, Silicon Valley proved that it had plenty of holiday cheer to go around!
Sincerely,

Christine Burroughs/CEO
